A sign from the Vigil for Justice at the College of the Holy Cross

A sign from the Vigil for Justice at the College of the Holy Cross

I just love this sign. The little sign that could……

Needed something to announce why we were there, and this is what I was calling it, a Vigil for Justice, so that’s what the sign said. I used a small poster paper that I had, and a friend had a stick left from a protest he was involved in. So this little sign is duct taped to a stick.

Most days at the College of the Holy Cross are very windy. This sign kept toppling over. We saw a pylon on the sidewalk, warning of a hole in the pavement. So, we stuck the stick in the pylon, and then got some twigs on the ground to shore it up.

The sign often tips to one side, but we leave it that way, because it has character. The little sign that could.
