The Elitist Leadership at the College of the Holy Cross

Ever since Holy Cross deliberately chose to violate my Civil Rights five days ago, I’ve wondered how to explain it.   Are they delusional?   Are they incompetent?   Are they ignorant?   Are they arrogant?

I think I know now what the problem is:  they are elitist.   The college administration believes they are ABOVE the Constitution of the United States of America.   They do not believe Constitutional civil rights protections have anything to do with them.    They are elitist.

Elitism:

1. The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.
2.
a. The sense of entitlement enjoyed by such a group or class.
b. Control, rule, or domination by such a group or class.

How else could the chairman of the board and the people around him believe they can trample on someone’s constitutional rights?

I can think of many responses to the elitist problem with the administration at Holy Cross.   The main one will be to talk about it for ten years by the main gate to the College.   I won’t run out of things to say since there are more examples of the same problems nearly every week with the hubris of the administration of Holy Cross.   And we have the example of a Jesuit pope who eschews elitism and doesn’t want to be superior to people.  It’s a strange world we live in right now.   A humble Jesuit pope, and an elitist administration at a Jesuit college, the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

  3. Barb, it’s been a difficult time, and Holy Cross just doesn’t stop messing up.

Thanks for all the words of support. I am not feeling too worthy of them however. It’s been a long road, and probably will be for a long time. I appreciate how much you care.
