Holy Cross Only Enforces Policies it Wants to Enforce

Today an employee of the College of the Holy Cross told me that two employees of the college were fired today because they were caught sleeping on the job in a closet.   I guess the college has a policy against employees sleeping on the job.

For eighteen months, all under the administration of current president Philip L. Boroughs, SJ, I have experienced more than a dozen acts of retaliation from his office.  ALL policies of the college prohibit retaliation.   Even though I complained about this many times, no one has ever once addressed it.  No employee of the college has been disciplined.   No one.

Because the Board of Trustees has also failed to enforce policies prohibiting retaliation, I am requiring that the Board and Fr. Boroughs engage in many acts of penance for their behavior.   This situation reeks of elitism:   people in maintenance can be fired for violating policies, but not people acting on behalf of the president.    I will tell this story for as long as it takes for the college to take responsibility.
